Dr. Josh Wyper

Dr Josh Wyper hails from Gladstone, QLD and has over 10 years of experience working in the dental industry. He first graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health and began his career as an Oral Health Therapist working in a range of environments. He has worked in rural and remote communities in Western NSW, and in both public and private dental clinics around NSW and coastal QLD.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Science from Charles Sturt University, Dr Josh has been working as a dentist in Southwest Sydney, before joining us at Paramount Dental.

Dr Josh loves all aspects of general dentistry and has keen interests in oral surgery, orthodontics and paediatric/special needs dentistry.

Currently, he is studying a Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics. This degree will allow Dr Josh to provide his patients with a high standard of quality orthodontic treatment with clear aligners. He also keeps up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide an optimal level of care for every patient.

When it comes to patients, Dr Josh enjoys the challenges that come with anxious and nervous patients. He takes the time with these patients to ensure they have an enjoyable and pleasant experience so they may leave with a positive, changed view of dentistry. He also thrives on getting to know each patient on a personal level so that he can gain a greater understanding of their needs and expectations in order to provide individualised treatment options.

Dr Josh has a passion for volunteer dental work. He has provided much needed dental treatment for adults and children in rural and remote communities of Cambodia and metropolitan area's in Malaysia. He has ongoing plans for more volunteer trips in developing countries where there is little to no access to dental care.

Outside of dentistry he enjoys keeping fit, the beach, hiking, camping and going on adventures overseas.
